Transferring Your Domain to Web Design Hosting SA

Transferring your domain to us consolidates your hosting and domain under one account, making management easier and support simpler.

Before You Start

  • Your domain must be at least 60 days old (registry requirement)
  • The domain must not be within 60 days of expiry
  • The domain must not be locked (check with your current registrar)
  • Obtain your EPP/Auth code (also called a transfer key) from your current registrar

How to Initiate a Domain Transfer

  1. Go to our domain transfer page
  2. Enter your domain name and click Transfer
  3. Enter your EPP/Auth code
  4. Complete checkout and pay the transfer fee

Transfer Timeline

  • .co.za domains: typically 1-3 business days
  • .com and other gTLDs: up to 7 days

What Happens During Transfer?

Your website and email continue to work during the transfer as long as the DNS settings are not changed. The transfer only moves the registration management – your hosting is unaffected.
