Creating WordPress Backups

Via UpdraftPlus Plugin

  1. Install UpdraftPlus from WordPress plugins
  2. Go to Settings ? UpdraftPlus Backups
  3. Click Backup Now for manual backup or configure automatic scheduled backups to Google Drive, Dropbox etc

Via cPanel Full Backup

  1. cPanel ? Files ? Backup
  2. Download a Full Account Backup
  3. Select Home Directory, enter email, click Generate Backup
  4. Download when ready

How Often?

  • Daily for active blogs and e-commerce sites
  • Weekly for static sites
  • Always before major updates or changes
