Selecting Your PHP Version
Web Design Hosting SA supports PHP versions from 4.4 through to 8.3. You can change the PHP version for your hosting account at any time through cPanel’s MultiPHP Manager.
How to Change Your PHP Version
- Log in to cPanel
- In the Software section, click MultiPHP Manager
- Select the checkbox next to your domain
- From the PHP Version dropdown, select the version you want
- Click Apply
Which PHP Version Should I Use?
- WordPress sites: PHP 8.1 or 8.2 recommended
- Legacy applications: Use the version specified by the application developer
- General rule: Always use the latest supported version compatible with your software
PHP Settings (php.ini)
You can customise PHP settings for your domain via cPanel ? MultiPHP INI Editor. Common settings you may want to adjust:
- upload_max_filesize – Maximum file upload size
- memory_limit – Memory available to PHP scripts
- max_execution_time – Maximum time a script can run
