Configuring Email on Your iPhone or iPad
Step 1: Open Mail Settings
- Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Scroll down and tap Mail
- Tap Accounts ? Add Account
- Select Other at the bottom
- Tap Add Mail Account
Step 2: Enter Account Details
- Name: Your name as displayed to recipients
- Email: [email protected]
- Password: Your email password
- Description: A label for this account (e.g. Work Email)
Step 3: Configure Incoming Mail Server
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.co.za
- User Name: [email protected]
- Password: Your email password
Step 4: Configure Outgoing Mail Server
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.co.za
- User Name: [email protected]
- Password: Your email password
Step 5: Save and Test
Tap Save. iOS will verify the settings. Once verified, your email will appear in the Mail app.
If you encounter errors, ensure SSL is enabled: go to Settings ? Mail ? Accounts ? [Your Account] ? Account ? Advanced and set IMAP port to 993 with SSL On, and SMTP port to 465 with SSL On.
