Configuring Email in Microsoft Outlook

This guide covers setting up your Web Design Hosting SA email account in Microsoft Outlook (Office 365 or Outlook 2019/2021).

Step 1: Open Account Settings

1. Open Outlook
2. Click File ? Account Settings ? Account Settings
3. Click New

Step 2: Manual Setup

1. Select Manual setup or additional server types
2. Click Next
3. Select POP or IMAP
4. Click Next

Step 3: Enter Your Server Settings

• Your Name: Your full name as you want recipients to see it
• Email Address: [email protected]
• Account Type: IMAP
• Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.co.za
• Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.za
• User Name: [email protected] (full email address)
• Password: Your email account password

Step 4: Advanced Settings (SSL)

1. Click More Settings
2. Click the Advanced tab
3. Set Incoming server (IMAP): 993 with SSL
4. Set Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 with SSL
5. Click OK

Step 5: Test and Finish

1. Click Test Account Settings to verify the connection
2. If both tests show a green tick, click Close and then Finish

Outlook Not Connecting?

Check that your email address and password are correct. You can reset your email password in cPanel under Email Accounts ? Manage ? Update Password. If problems persist, contact our support team.
