Scanning Your Website for Malware
All Web Design Hosting SA accounts include Imunify360, which continuously scans for malware and threats. Here is how to view scan results and handle any detected threats.
View Imunify360 Scan Results
- Log in to cPanel
- In the Security section, click Imunify360
- Click the Files tab to see any detected threats
What to Do if Malware Is Detected
- Review the list of infected files
- For each file, you can choose to:
- Clean – Imunify360 attempts to remove the malicious code
- Quarantine – Moves the file to a safe location where it cannot run
- Delete – Permanently removes the file
- After cleaning, change all your passwords (cPanel, WordPress admin, FTP, email)
- Update all WordPress plugins, themes and WordPress core
- Check for any unfamiliar admin users in WordPress and remove them
