Frequently Asked Questions – Domains
How much does a .co.za domain cost?
A .co.za domain costs R250 per year. This is one of the most affordable domain options available in South Africa.
How quickly is a domain activated after registration?
Most domains are active within minutes of payment. Full DNS propagation across the internet can take up to 24-48 hours.
Do I own my domain?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name and you own it. We are simply the registrar that manages the registration on your behalf.
What happens if my domain expires?
Your website and email stop working. There is a grace period of 30-45 days during which you can still renew (sometimes with a fee). After that, the domain is released and anyone can register it.
Can I transfer my domain to you from another registrar?
Yes. We accept incoming domain transfers. Visit our domain transfer page to initiate the process.
Can I transfer my domain away from you?
Yes. Contact our support team via support ticket to request an EPP/auth code for outgoing transfers.
Do I need a domain to get hosting?
You need a domain to make your website accessible on the internet, but you can technically set up hosting before you have a domain. We recommend registering both together.
