Websites for security companies

Website for Security Companies, Armed Response and CCTV Installers

A website for a security company is checked by two kinds of buyer: a homeowner deciding whose board goes on the wall, and a facilities manager shortlisting guarding contractors. We build websites for South African security companies, armed response services and alarm and CCTV installers that show your services, coverage areas and PSIRA registration clearly, from R1,450 once-off including a year of hosting and a .co.za domain.

What a security company website needs

PSIRA registration shown

Your PSIRA business registration number and a link to PSIRA’s online verification, so buyers can check you in a minute.

Response coverage maps

The suburbs and estates where you offer armed response, so homeowners know at once whether you cover their street.

A page per service

Guarding, armed response, alarm monitoring, CCTV, access control and electric fencing, each explained on its own.

Tender documents

A company profile download and a credentials page for corporate, complex and government buyers.

Sales and control room contacts

Separate numbers for new sales, existing clients and your control room, so urgent calls reach the right people.

Secure, well-kept site

A security company with a hacked or expired website loses trust fast, so SSL, updates and backups are part of the plan.

PSIRA registration and verification

Under the Private Security Industry Regulation Act 56 of 2001, a business that provides a security service in South Africa must be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA), and security officers need their own registration. PSIRA offers separate online verification for businesses and for individual officers on its website, and it has issued notices urging consumers to verify compliance documents.

Buyers who know this will look for your registration before they phone you. We put your PSIRA number on the about and credentials pages, and in the footer if you want it, exactly as it appears on your certificate, with a link to the verification service. Keep it current: a lapsed number on your own website does more harm than no number.

Residential and commercial buyers

Homeowners compare armed response on coverage, response process, monthly fees and what happens when the alarm goes off. Commercial buyers, such as estates, body corporates, retailers and industrial sites, compare on the number and grade of officers, supervision, site reporting and insurance. A site that tries to speak to both on one page satisfies neither, so we split them into residential and commercial sections with their own enquiry forms.

Many security companies also sell and install equipment. Product pages for alarm panels, cameras and access control with “from” prices let customers compare before they call, and for online sales see ecommerce websites.

Pages a security company website needs

  • Home: services, coverage and contact numbers.
  • Armed response and monitoring: areas, process and sign-up.
  • Guarding: sites you guard, supervision and reporting.
  • CCTV, alarms and access control: installation and maintenance.
  • Coverage areas: suburbs and estates.
  • Credentials: PSIRA, company profile and memberships you hold.
  • Contact: sales, clients and control room.

Because your clients trust you with their safety, keep the site itself secure. Our website maintenance plans cover updates, backups and monitoring, and our guide to WordPress security explains the basics.

Who it is for

  • Armed response and alarm monitoring companies
  • Guarding companies serving estates, retail and industry
  • CCTV, alarm, electric fence and access control installers
  • New security businesses preparing for their first tenders

Kevin from web design hosting has been excellent to work with for the last 10 years. He handled the design and hosting of our website for Zeek Gold and made the whole process easy from start to finish. He’s responsive, explains things clearly, and always follows through on what he promises. He built / redesigned our site at zeekgold.co.za, and whenever we’ve needed changes or help, he’s sorted it…

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website for a security company cost?

Our packages start at R1,450 once-off. Most security companies choose 10 pages at R4,950, which covers each service, coverage areas, credentials and contact. A year of hosting and a .co.za domain are included.

Should my PSIRA number be on my website?

If you are registered, showing it builds trust, because buyers can check it on PSIRA’s online verification. Show it exactly as it appears on your certificate and update it when you renew. This is practical website advice, not legal advice.

Can the website show which areas we cover?

Yes. We can list suburbs and estates, add a map, or build a separate page per area where you have enough to say about each one.

Can clients log in to see reports?

A client portal is a bigger project. We can link to the reporting or monitoring platform you already use, or quote for a custom area.

Will a website help us win tenders?

It will not win a tender on its own, but buyers often check a website before they shortlist. A credentials page and a downloadable company profile make that check easy.
