Websites for pest control

Website Design for Pest Control Companies

Pest control customers search for the pest, not the company: “termites in my roof”, “rats in the ceiling”, “beetle certificate”. Our website design for pest control companies in South Africa gives every pest and service its own page, shows your operator registration and makes it easy to book an inspection, from R1,450 once-off including a year of hosting and a .co.za domain.

What a pest control website needs

A page per pest

Termites, cockroaches, rodents, bed bugs, ants and wood borers each get a page that answers the questions people search for.

Registration and memberships

Your operators’ registration under Act 36 of 1947 and any SAPCA membership, shown exactly as you hold them.

Beetle and timber certificates

A page for sellers and estate agents explaining your timber pest inspection and clearance certificate process.

Commercial contracts

Pest management for restaurants, food factories, warehouses and complexes, with what your monthly service and reporting include.

Safety information

What customers must do before and after treatment, and how you protect children, pets and food areas.

Quick bookings

Click-to-call, WhatsApp for photos of the problem and a form to book an inspection.

Registration under Act 36 of 1947

In South Africa the use of pesticides by pest control operators is governed by the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act 36 of 1947. Operators register with the Registrar under that Act at the Department of Agriculture, and the South African Pest Control Association (SAPCA), established in 1964, is the main industry body. Commercial clients and careful homeowners ask whether the technician who arrives is registered.

We show your operator registration and memberships on an about or credentials page, as they appear on your certificates, and keep the wording factual. If a technician’s registration lapses, update the page.

Beetle certificates and property sales

Many property sale agreements, particularly in coastal areas, require the seller to have the accessible timbers inspected for wood-destroying beetles, termites and fungi before transfer, and to supply a clearance certificate. These are steady, time-sensitive jobs that come through estate agents and conveyancers. A dedicated page that explains what is inspected, how long it takes, what happens if infestation is found and how to book will bring in referrals all year.

Commercial clients need something different again. Restaurants, food factories and warehouses often have to show pest control records during food safety audits, so explain how you document each visit, where traps are placed and how quickly reports reach the client.

Pages a pest control website needs

  • Home: pests you treat, areas and the call button.
  • Pest pages: one each for your main pests, with signs, treatment and prevention.
  • Beetle and timber certificates: for sellers and agents.
  • Commercial pest management: food safety audits, monthly contracts and reports.
  • Safety and preparation: what customers must do before and after.
  • About and registration: your team, registrations and memberships.
  • Contact and booking.

Pest pages work best when they are written for local conditions and kept up to date. Our local SEO plans and the guide to local SEO in South Africa show how those pages earn local rankings.

Who it is for

  • Residential pest control operators
  • Commercial pest management for food and hospitality
  • Timber pest inspectors issuing beetle certificates
  • Fumigation and termite specialists

Kevin from web design hosting has been excellent to work with for the last 10 years. He handled the design and hosting of our website for Zeek Gold and made the whole process easy from start to finish. He’s responsive, explains things clearly, and always follows through on what he promises. He built / redesigned our site at zeekgold.co.za, and whenever we’ve needed changes or help, he’s sorted it…

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website for a pest control company cost?

Our packages start at R1,450 once-off. Most pest control companies choose 10 pages at R4,950, which leaves room for a page per pest, beetle certificates, commercial services and contact. A year of hosting and a .co.za domain are included.

Should I list the pesticides I use?

You can explain your approach and safety measures without listing products. If you do name products, keep the claims to what is on the registered label, and leave the final wording to your registered operator.

Can estate agents book beetle inspections through the website?

Yes. We can add a booking form for agents and conveyancers that asks for the property address, transfer date and contact person.

Do I need a separate page for every pest?

For your main services, yes. People search for the pest they have, and a page that answers their question about that pest is far more likely to rank and convert than a single list.

Can the site show which areas we cover?

Yes. We list the towns and suburbs you serve, and can add area pages where you have enough real detail to make each one useful.
