What a logistics website needs

Routes and coverage

The towns, provinces, corridors and countries you serve, with a page for each main route or depot.

Quote forms that ask the right things

Collection and delivery points, load type, weight or pallets, dimensions and dates, so you can quote without three follow-up calls.

Fleet and capabilities

Vehicle types, payloads, refrigerated or tautliner trailers, warehousing and special handling.

Compliance and insurance

Goods-in-transit cover, registrations and permits shown as you hold them, which corporate shippers check.

Tracking links

A tracking page linked to your transport management or waybill system, so customers stop phoning for updates.

Driver recruitment

A careers page with licence codes, PrDP and experience requirements, and an application form.

Registrations shippers ask about

Corporate shippers and procurement teams often check registrations before they appoint a carrier. Which ones apply depends on what you do:

  • Couriers and parcel delivery: ICASA registers operators of unreserved postal and courier services under the Postal Services Act.
  • Cross-border freight: loads into neighbouring countries need permits from the Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA).
  • Heavy goods vehicles: goods vehicles with a gross vehicle mass over 3,500 kg must be registered to an operator and display an operator card under the National Road Traffic Regulations.

We show these on a compliance page exactly as they appear on your certificates, alongside your insurance cover and any voluntary accreditation you hold. Keep your company details identical on the website, CIPC records and Google Business Profile.

Courier and ecommerce delivery

Online shops look for couriers that integrate with their store. If you offer this, say so clearly: which platforms you support, how rates are calculated, and how collections are booked. Our guide to Courier Guy and Pargo for WooCommerce shows what shop owners compare, and gives you a sense of the questions your sales page should answer.

Pages a transport company usually needs

  • Home: what you move, where, and a quote button.
  • Services: a page each for courier, local distribution, long-haul, cross-border, warehousing or removals.
  • Routes and depots.
  • Fleet.
  • Compliance and insurance.
  • Track a shipment.
  • Careers: drivers and depot staff.
  • Contact: per depot, with operating hours.

For more enquiries from your area, see our local SEO plans.

Winning contract and tender work

Large shippers and tenders usually ask for a company profile, registrations, insurance certificates and references. We add a downloadable company profile and a documents page, so a procurement officer can find everything in one place. If you hold a B-BBEE certificate or sector accreditation, we show it as issued. Named clients and case studies only go on the site with your customers’ permission, and fleet photos should be your own trucks, not stock images, because buyers notice.

Who it is for

  • Courier and same-day delivery companies
  • Freight, long-haul and cross-border hauliers
  • Warehousing and distribution companies
  • Removals and moving companies

Kevin from web design hosting has been excellent to work with for the last 10 years. He handled the design and hosting of our website for Zeek Gold and made the whole process easy from start to finish. He’s responsive, explains things clearly, and always follows through on what he promises. He built / redesigned our site at zeekgold.co.za, and whenever we’ve needed changes or help, he’s sorted it…

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website for a logistics company cost?

Our packages start at R1,450 once-off. Most transport companies choose 10 pages at R4,950, which covers services, routes, fleet, compliance, careers and contact. A year of hosting and a .co.za domain are included.

Can customers track their parcels on the website?

Yes, if your transport management or waybill system has a tracking page or API. We link or embed it on a “Track a shipment” page.

Can the quote form ask for load details?

Yes. We set up the form for your work, such as pallets, weight, dimensions, vehicle type, collection and delivery points and dates.

Can we show rates on the website?

Yes. Couriers often show standard parcel rates by zone, while freight companies usually quote per load. We can add a rate table or a simple rate guide.

Can drivers apply for jobs through the website?

Yes. We add a careers page and an application form that asks for licence code, PrDP, experience and the depot they want to work from, and sends applications to your HR inbox.

Can you set up email for our depots and drivers?

Yes. We set up addresses on your domain for each depot or department. See email hosting for the plans.
