Products and seasons

What you grow, raise or make, with a harvest or availability calendar so buyers know when to order.

Wholesale and trade enquiries

Certifications

GLOBALG.A.P., organic, export and other certifications you hold, shown exactly as certified.

Farm stall and online orders

Online orders for boxes, meat, eggs, honey or plants, with delivery days or farm collection.

Export, registrations and trade buyers

Trade buyers want proof before they sign a supply agreement. If you export fresh produce, your consignments are inspected and certified by the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB), and buyers will ask about your food safety and traceability certifications. If you sell fertilisers, farm feeds, agricultural remedies or stock remedies, those products must be registered with the Registrar under Act 36 of 1947, the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act.

On the website we list each certification and product registration number as it appears on your certificate or label, and add downloadable specification sheets. That saves your sales team time and answers the questions procurement teams ask first.

Selling direct from the farm

More South African farms sell directly to households: veg boxes, grass-fed meat, free-range eggs, honey, wine, olive oil or nursery plants. Selling direct needs an order page with clear delivery days and areas, cut-off times and payment. Our ecommerce websites handle this, and our guide on starting an online store in South Africa covers payments and delivery. For agritourism, such as a farm stall, pick-your-own, weddings or a cottage, the website needs opening times, directions and booking details.

Pages a farm or agribusiness usually needs

  • Home: what you produce, where, and how to buy.
  • Products: a page per crop, breed or product range with seasons and packaging.
  • Trade and wholesale.
  • Certifications and quality.
  • Shop or farm stall.
  • Visit us: directions, hours and events.
  • About the farm: history, family, people and farming practices.
  • Contact.

We built the website for Ultimate Growers, a black female-owned horticulture company and division of Izenzo Business Solutions, presenting its services and contact details for clients.

Who it is for

  • Fruit, vegetable and grain farms
  • Livestock, dairy, poultry and game farms
  • Nurseries, growers and horticulture companies
  • Agri suppliers, co-ops and exporters

Kevin from web design hosting has been excellent to work with for the last 10 years. He handled the design and hosting of our website for Zeek Gold and made the whole process easy from start to finish. He’s responsive, explains things clearly, and always follows through on what he promises. He built / redesigned our site at zeekgold.co.za, and whenever we’ve needed changes or help, he’s sorted it…

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website for a farm cost?

Our packages start at R1,450 once-off for a one-page site. Most farms choose 5 or 10 pages, at R2,950 or R4,950, for products, trade information, visits and contact. A farm shop with online orders suits our 30-page and shop package at R8,950. A year of hosting and a .co.za domain are included.

Can we sell produce online?

Yes. We build shops with card payments, delivery areas and collection options, so you can sell boxes, meat, eggs or plants directly.

Can we update what is in season ourselves?

Yes. Every package includes an editor, so you can update availability, prices and photos from your phone.

Will the website work for buyers overseas?

Yes. We can add an export page with your certifications, product specifications and contact details for international buyers, and show prices in other currencies if you need them.

Will restaurants and shops in our area find us?

They are more likely to. We build product pages around what buyers search for, such as “free-range eggs supplier Western Cape”, and link the site to your Google Business Profile. For ongoing work on rankings, see our local SEO plans from R2,950.

Our farm has poor internet. Can we still manage the website?

Yes. The editor works on a phone, and we can make updates for you through our website maintenance plans from R750.
